Job summary

Autoliv is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support the HR Director and Central Functions. You will lead strategic HR initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and deliver HR solutions across the organization in Mexico and beyond.

You will advise leaders on labor relations, compliance with US and Mexico laws, and drive talent development, performance management, and succession planning while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture in a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Business Degree.
• Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including business partnering and project management.
• 5+ years in Human Resources management and leadership.
• Strong understanding of HR disciplines including talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting corporate or central functions in a global organization.
• Demonstrated experience in unionized manufacturing or industrial environments and labor relations practices.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Support & Partnership: Advise HR Director on workforce planning and annual processes, including Talent Development, Succession, Merit, Leadership training, and organizational effectiveness.
• Cross-functional collaboration to align HR strategies with business goals across central functions.
• Provide knowledge and guidance on US and Mexico laws, rules and processes to leaders.
• Data & Analytics: Analyze HR metrics and trends, prepare reports for senior leadership, highlight insights and recommendations.
• Track turnover for Central Function teams and propose retention solutions; leverage Pulse Survey results.
• Central Functions Support: Manage terminations, performance issues, and severance with legal follow-up.
• Coordinate with SCM, IT, Health & Safety and global reporting teams for divisional and global needs.
• Support other corporate functions to address HR needs and talent strategies.
• Health, Safety & Sustainability: Examine safety events; partner with site safety leaders to improve safety performance.
