Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Mexico City is seeking a CBS Accounting & Reporting Analyst to join the Global Business Services. You will lead end-to-end MEC under US GAAP, perform balance sheet reconciliations, manage intercompany billing, and drive local tax compliance with SAT and VAT.

This role partners with tax and audit teams, supports SOX controls, and advances process automation using macros and RPA to improve accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / CPA.
• 2 years of direct experience in corporate accounting, general ledger, tax compliance, or financial reporting.
• Strong Excel and Google Workspace skills; SAP ERP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end closing activities (MEC) under US GAAP with journal entries and accruals.
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Manage CBS intercompany service fee billing, tax stamping, and collections.
• Support local tax compliance (SAT, VAT, ISR) and regulatory filings.
• Prepare local statutory statements and assist external audits; enforce SOX controls.
• Drive R2R process automation using macros and RPA.
