Job summary

Amazon in Mexico’s Tlajomulco area seeks an Area Manager to lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates in a fulfillment center. You will mentor, coach, and drive safety, quality, attendance and engagement, acting as a servant leader who enables your team to excel.

You will manage 100–300 hourly staff, embrace Lean and Six Sigma, and align on Amazon's Leadership Principles while ensuring 24/7 operations and guest excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• You and your team of warehouse associates are responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders.
• You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
• You take ownership in your work and team and are available to work overtime during Amazon’s peak holiday season and as needed year-round.
• You are obsessed with customer experience and understand the importance of a 24/7 operations.
• Leading and developing a team of 100-300 hourly associates by embodying Amazon’s Leadership Principles
• Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers
