Job summary

Stripe’s Mexico City office is seeking a Fraud Operations professional to investigate potential fraud vectors and support our financial partners. You will analyze data to identify risk factors and help refine detection rules, balancing security with customer experience.

The role emphasizes collaboration, a user-focused perspective, and the ability to work in-office on Paseo de la Reforma. Weekend work may be required with compensation via weekdays off.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud analysis, investigations, or operations.
• Experience using data to make assessments and judgments.
• Team-focused mentality and effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to approach challenges from a user perspective with pragmatism and solutions orientation.
• Willingness to periodically work a weekend (remotely) with weekdays off.
• Available to work 100% in-office on Av. Paseo de la Reforma, Mexico City; relocation assistance available depending on distance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate accounts to identify fraudulent merchants, card testing, account takeover, and other fraud vectors.
• Conduct investigations on merchant accounts to support financial partner requirements.
• Assess risk factors and trends of potentially fraudulent activity.
• Help maintain fraud detection strategies and business rules balancing fraud loss and customer experience.
• Contribute to root cause analysis to identify opportunities to predict, prevent, and mitigate risk within process and performance.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews for the Fraud Operations team.
