Job summary

Robert Hess Search Group is seeking a Finance Operations Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations for the marketing department, aligning budgets and accounting with GAAP standards. The role collaborates with Finance, Accounting, T&E, and Accounts Payable teams, reports to the Sr.

Director of Marketing Operations, and requires 2–3 years of experience, advanced Excel, and strong attention to detail.

• Ensure marketing spend allocations align with internal billing codes to drive accurate P&L reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.

Position Title:Finance Operations Specialist

How long of Contract: 12-months

Location:100% Remote in Mexico; 9-5 EST or CST are the working hours.

Requested Start Date: Immediate

Prerequisite: Candidate starts 7 weeks from being identified as the SOW can take up to 2 weeks. 4 weeks for a CIFUS background check, and then a 1 week to ship a laptop. Candidate must be100% ok with the start date being 7 weeks out from their offer. This is a long time between offer and starting and the candidate must be ok with this process.

Position Summary:

The Finance Operations Specialist supports all day-to-day financial operations of the marketing department's budgeting and accounting needs. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations while working in close alignment with key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, T&E, and Accounts Payable teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.

Manage and reconcile marketing department budgets, forecasts, accruals, and close reconciliations.

Validate accounting reports against budget forecasts to maintain financial accuracy.

Ensure marketing spend allocations align with internal billing codes to drive accurate P&L reports.
