HireHawk Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting generalist to lead finance for our Mexico affiliate in Tlalnepantla de Baz. You will partner with the Group CFO and U.S. leadership, coordinating day-to-day accounting with a local consultant CFO and ensuring accurate month-end closes.

The role requires 5+ years in Mexican accounting, strong SAT/CFDI knowledge, and hands-on financial reporting. It is an in-office, full-time position with standard Mexican business hours.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Act as the on-the-ground finance and administration lead for the Group CFO
• Coordinate day-to-day accounting with the local consultant CFO and month-end close
• Coordinate and support monthly financial statement prep and provide analysis to leadership
• Ensure SAT compliance, including CFDI/e-invoicing and local statutory obligations
• Oversee payables, receivables, and billing with group AP/AR teams
• Lead audit readiness and support transfer pricing initiatives
• Maintain internal controls and documentation per group standards
• Coordinate payroll processing with vendors/partners
• Support local office administration and IT initiatives
• Take on additional priorities as assigned by the Group CFO

About the Role

This role is the primary accounting generalist for our Mexico affiliate—your job is to make sure local operations run smoothly, accurately, and in full compliance. You’ll partner closely with the Group CFO and U.S. leadership while coordinating day-to-day accounting with a local consultant CFO. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and ownership and is comfortable being the “one-person finance leader” on the ground. This is a full-time, in-office role in Tlalnepantla de Baz, Estado de México, with standard Mexico business hours.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-the-ground finance and administration lead for the Group CFO, ensuring priorities are executed locally and reliably
• Coordinate day-to-day accounting activities with the local consultant CFO, including month-end close and ad-hoc analysis
• Coordinate and support monthly financial statement preparation and provide clear, actionable analysis to leadership
• Ensure compliance with SAT requirements, including CFDI/e-invoicing processes and local statutory obligations
• Partner closely with group AP and AR teams to keep payables, receivables, and billing accurate and timely
• Lead audit readiness activities and support special accounting projects (including transfer pricing initiatives)
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, documentation, and segregation-of-duties aligned to group standards
• Maintain corporate records and support ongoing legal entity compliance requirements
• Coordinate local payroll processing and benefits administration with relevant vendors/partners
• Own office administration so the local team can operate smoothly day-to-day
• Coordinate with U.S.-based IT resources to execute local technology initiatives and improvements
• Take on additional priorities and projects as assigned by the Group CFO

Must-Have:

• Able to work full-time in-office in Tlalnepantla de Baz, Estado de México (this is not a remote role)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in Mexico
• Proven experience with Mexican accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance, including strong SAT/CFDI expertise
• Hands-on month-end close and financial statement preparation experience (not bookkeeping-only)
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for daily interaction with U.S. executives
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Working experience across billing, AP and/or AR
• Experience with inventory, imports, and related processes
• Advanced Excel skills (functions, pivot tables, charts/graphs minimum)
• Experience implementing an ERP and related accounting/finance systems
• Ability and willingness to take on responsibilities beyond traditional accounting, including operational, administrative, and compliance-related tasks.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently after receiving guidance and direction.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment where priorities may shift and responsibilities may evolve.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute tasks with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential financial and employee information.
• Experience coordinating with external providers, including accountants, payroll vendors, legal advisors, and service providers, is preferred.
• Office management or general business operations experience is a plus.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and effectively implement instructions while developing broader business knowledge over time.
