Metso is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Market Area Sales and Service Mexico team. The role involves coordinating testing activities for machines, spares, and wears, and delivering technical services alongside sales. Reports to the Director, MIN Sales, Mexico and Central America.

The position is located in Cananea, Sonora MX or Zacatecas, Zacatecas, with 50-70% travel to customer sites. Join a team of experts focused on delivering top-quality solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering; or 3–6 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in mining, aggregates, or relevant laboratory environments.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Responsabilidades

• Collect samples on-site, transport sampling equipment, and load the samples.
• Support the Testing Team Manager in executing laboratory test work on time, within budget, and within scope.
• Assist in and execute comminution and flotation surveys as assigned.
• Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory and testing programs.
• Perform laboratory testing procedures in accordance with established standards.
• Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of laboratory and testing equipment.
• Support the specification and procurement of new laboratory equipment.
• Prepare, review, and contribute to laboratory data analysis and technical reports.
• Assist in proposal preparation.
• Participate in customer site visits.
• Complete preliminary mass balances when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
