Job summary

American Express is seeking a Travel Consultant to join our frontline contact center, handling high-volume calls from Premium Card Members. You will deliver exceptional service, book flights, hotels, and car arrangements, and tailor travel experiences to each member’s needs.

This role requires outstanding English communication, prior premium customer service or travel sales experience, and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed to support 24/7 member service.

Qualifications

• High levels of written and verbal English communication required.
• Experience in premium customer service or sales in tourism, travel, or cruise and tours.
• Demonstrated ability to provide premium customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic geography knowledge to locate continents, countries and travel destinations.
• Positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
• Active listening and adapting conversation to suit the Card Member.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class customer service in a high-volume travel call servicing environment.
• Create new bookings and service existing travel arrangements for Premium Card Members in the United States.
• Consult with customers to tailor interactions and deliver personalised travel experiences.
• Research, plan, and book domestic and international flights, car rentals, and hotels.
• Present and explain product offerings and value propositions relevant to Card Members.
• Maintain a Membership First mindset to ensure outstanding service and outcomes.
