Job summary

ABB in Apodaca, Nuevo León, is seeking an engineer to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. On-site, you will contribute to Electrification and manage multiple small projects while ensuring compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety, and cybersecurity policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• 2+ years of experience in similar positions.
• Advanced English is required for this role.
• Knowledge in electrical and mechanical drawings develop and interpretation.
• Experience in EPLAN, AutoCAD, CREO, and Solidworks.
• Experience working with LV switchboards, switchgear, MCC or panelboards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Working customers to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted budget.
• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure that designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coaching engineering colleagues translating of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
• Performing design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
