Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced EHS leader to shape and execute environmental, health, and safety programs across North America. You will work with operations leaders and employees to reduce risk, improve compliance, and build consistent EHS practices that support daily work and long-term performance.

You will drive strategy, training, audits, and incident investigations, partnering across manufacturing, distribution, and field operations to deliver safer, more sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Experience managing EHS programs across multi-site locations in North America.
• Experience leading audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Experience training managers and employees on safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS strategy, programs, and compliance for Chillers North America.
• Ensure alignment with applicable regulations and Zero Harm expectations.
• Develop and deliver training on fire prevention, LOTO, fall protection, chemicals.
• Lead incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Conduct GEMBA walks and risk assessments to improve performance.
• Maintain environmental permits and records for air, water, waste.
