Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a senior EHS leader to shape and drive environmental, health, and safety programs across North America, partnering with operations to reduce risk and improve compliance.

You will lead strategy, training on fire prevention, lockout/tagout, fall protection, and risk assessments, while conducting GEMBA walks and reviewing permits to sustain continuous improvement and a culture of Zero Harm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience managing EHS programs across multi-site manufacturing and distribution locations in North America.
• Knowledge of applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS strategy, programs, and compliance activities for Chillers North America across manufacturing, distribution, and field operations.
• Develop and deliver training on fire prevention, lockout/tagout, fall protection, chemical handling, and other site-specific EHS topics.
• Lead incident and accident reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up activities to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct GEMBA walks, safety walks, coaching, and risk assessments to strengthen day-to-day performance.
• Review and maintain environmental operating permits and related records for Air, Water, and Waste.
