The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, proficiency in technical writing, and at least 6 years of experience in relevant roles. Responsibilities include creating, updating documentation, and collaborating with teams to ensure quality standards are met. Formación

This organization is characterized as a co-located & process engineering team focused on developing and supporting the rest of the organization with subject matter experts (SMEs). An organization that embeds engineering skills directly into the manufacturing value stream and enables faster decision-making and deeper process ownership and Knowledge. Responsibilities
  • As a Documentation Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in improving the Logistic & Handling processes within the Sites / Factories for wind turbine blades via the quality of the documentation.
  • Focus on modern documentation principles and technologies, drive towards standardization to ensure fast updates or creation of documentation to Logistic, all to secure process stability and capability to improve overall business performance; Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC).
  • Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor / Logistic teams (workers, quality and logistic teams) within Handling & Logistic operations.
  • Updated documentation is always available where needed.
  • Be loyal to the documentation principles described.
  • Engage in getting feedback from shop floors and logistic teams on the function and quality of the documentation delivered.
  • Perform internal quality checks of the documentation.
  • Perform internal maturity check of the documentation against our documented criteria.
  • Keep stakeholders up to date on documentation lead time.
  • Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation packaged.
  • Collaborate closely with the documentation specialist from the other documentation teams and share lessons learned.
  • Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Focus on modern documentation systems and material including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems.
  • Investigate and solve production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.
Education
  • Bachelor engineering or equivalent
  • GB lean
  • Courses within Technical writing or and communication
Experience
  • About 6 years of experience in similar roles as described above
Worked with
  • Create process flow
  • Establish and maintain work instructions (paper or digital)
  • Validation of own work
  • Participate in development of Handling & Logistic documentation
  • Worked in a data driven organization
  • Optimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolbox
Important skills
  • Proficient writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information.
  • Technical skills: Especially important for Logistic documentation, involving transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems; ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance.
  • Willingness to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams to identify and solve production issues.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented with strong organizational discipline.
  • Ability to collaborate across a large organization and build a network across cultures and time zones with stakeholders.
