Job summary

Emerson is seeking a procurement professional in Ciudad Juárez to manage purchasing, supplier relations, and inventory optimization. You will coordinate global shipments, monitor supplier performance, and drive cost-effective logistics while supporting project orders with accurate planning data.

The role requires 4+ years in supply chain, a business/engineering degree, and English fluency. Travel flexibility and USA visa access are expected due to global coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan and issue purchase orders to suppliers and coordinate direct global shipments.
• Follow up or expedite material with suppliers to ensure needs are met.
• Collaborate with sourcing specialist to monitor supplier performance and improve non-performing suppliers.
• Improve supplier lead times to support inventory, customer service, and project orders.
• Analyze low-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory and take action to optimize inventory.
• Evaluate best shipment mode with logistics to optimize logistics cost.
• Maintain accurate part numbers, planning parameters, and delivery dates for raw materials.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Material availability, inventory and cost objectives.
• Plan and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers, execute exception messages, and coordinate direct global shipments of parts.
• Follow- up or expedite material with suppliers to ensure needs met.
• Partner with sourcing specialist to monitor global supplier supermarket levels and delivery performance and work with non-performing suppliers for improvement.
• Collaborate with sourcing specialist to improve supplier lead-timetosupport inventoryandcompanycustomer service objectives as well as improve their capacity and flexibility to Project Orders.
• Analyzes lowmoving, nonmoving, excess inventory on a regular interval and take action to assure inventory optimization.
• Work with Logistics and sourcing specialist to evaluate and determine best shipment mode to optimize logistic cost.
• Keep-up delivery dates, quantities, size, attributes of part numbers, purchase Planning parameters to obtain correct messages of raw material Planning.
• Anticipate any potential material shortage by performing a detailed and objective analysis of the root cause and defining corrective actions to minimize the impact while informing in a timely manner.
• Microsoft Office, MRP environments, APICS
