Eaton in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, is seeking an applications engineer to provide product line support through design engineering, translating incoming order information into bills-of-materials and CAD drawings, including control schematics and wiring diagrams for engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

This role involves collaboration with manufacturing during new product introductions, assisting testers on technical issues, participating in continuous improvement, and coaching Juarez

Formación

• Education: A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of progressive, hands-on experience in design engineering, specifically within the relevant industry (e.g., electrical).
• Technical Skills (CAD/Design): High proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
• Soft skills: Strong communication and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Project management: Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage individual task assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Execute tasks according to production Schedule to meet Profit Plan and OTP.
• Translate incoming order information into bills-of-material and CAD drawings, including control schematics and wiring diagrams, understandable by engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
• Collaborate with manufacturing during new product introduction, assist and testers on technical issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement actions to increase productivity and quality.
• Analyze field problems that may require research into product and application history.
• Execute plan tasks and follow up on specific engineering activities to achieve goals.
• Maintain effective communication channels with engineering personnel.
• Increase Organization Capability by coaching and counseling Juarez engineering when applicable.
• Availability to work the second shift.
