AgileEngine is seeking a Data Engineer to own ETL pipelines powering analytics for colleges and universities. You will design and maintain data workflows using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow, moving data from source systems into a cloud data warehouse.

You'll adapt shared pipelines for individual clients, keep code clean, and collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions across production environments.

Formación

• 3-4 years of experience in data engineering or related software role.
• Strong SQL with complex joins, window functions and star-schema modeling.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience (DAGs, operators, scheduling).
• Working knowledge of ETL patterns and cloud data warehouse design (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Git/GitLab (or GitHub/Bitbucket) for version control.
• Docker / Docker Compose experience.
• Ability to translate client and business requirements into SQL and DAG changes.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines across development, staging, and production.
• Extend data models and datasets to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Adapt and customize shared pipelines for individual clients while keeping code clean.
• Monitor production pipelines, investigate failures, and deliver fixes promptly.
• Write and maintain database DDL, data validation queries, and deployment scripts.
• Contribute to platform modernization initiatives and adoption of new data tech.
• Collaborate with client teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
