Schneider Electric is seeking a Customs & Trade Operations Coordinator on a one-year contract to manage import/export activities and ensure compliance with customs regulations. The role involves collaboration with competency centers, brokers, and internal teams to maintain data quality and optimize processes.

The candidate will oversee HTS classifications, duties minimization, and project-based process improvements while ensuring timely deliveries in line with plant requirements.

Formación

• 2 years’ experience handling high volumes of information with ability to analyze and detect risks.
• Wide knowledge of foreign trade and customs laws relevant to the role.
• Advanced English is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Manage import/export operations and customs documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws and plant procedures.
• Collaborate with competency centers and with custom brokers and operations.
• Maintain inventory control and database integrity.
• Develop projects to improve administrative processes.
• Prepare monthly metrics and monitor service levels of brokers and operations.
• Map processes and manage Annex 24 (IMMEX software).

Schneider Electric is looking for a Customs & Trade Operations Coordinator (One year contract)

This position is in charge of the import-export operation, customs documentation, achieving the legal dispositions and applicable procedures by Customs and plant , collaborate with competency centers in tabs efficiency, database integrity , fixed assets management, record keeping, reduce duty payments, HTS classification, customs valuation, on time delivery according to plant requirements as well as new projects, production lines transference, determination of the status of the Imports & Exports.

Responsibilities:

• General knowledge of the Imp / Exp areas
• Customs documentation
• Achieve the legal dispositions and applicable procedures by Customs and Plant
• Collaborate with Competency Centers efficiently
• Business Partnering with Custom Brokers and Operations
• Inventory control and database integrity
• Fixed assets management
• Record Keeping management
• HTS classification
• Develop projects to improve administrative processes
• Preparation of monthly metrics
• Assure and control the service level of the Custom Brokers and Operations
• Preparation, evaluation and management of the internal politics and procedures
• Process Mapping
• Annex 24 (IMMEX software knowledge)

Qualifications -

• Bachelor´s degree in Foreign Trade, International Trade, Finance, Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics.
• 2 years’ Experience in managing high volumes of information, ability to analyze and detect risks. Wide knowledge of foreign trade and customs laws, as well as those applicable to the position.
• Work by objectives, knowledge of project management.
• Experience in procedures and Customs documentation necessary for the clearance of the goods.
• ERP knowledge is a plus (SAP JD Edwards, etc)
• Advanced English (mandatory)
