Job summary

FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division seeks a Customs Agent-1 in Querétaro, México to support front-line operations. Responsibilities include preparing import/export forms, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and coordinating with officials and customers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in international trade or related, English proficiency, and flexibility to work weekends when required. The office-based position includes data entry and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking, planning and organization skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand English (450 TOEIC points).
• Driver's license, preferable.
• Good administrative skills and computer knowledge.
• Management of the English language in the customs area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all necessary customs forms to allow import, export and transit procedures for shipments arriving and departing by air.
• Prepare forms detailing duties, taxes / VAT.
• Prepare international manifests to ensure cargo release in a timely manner.
• Ensure full compliance of ramp activities with country policies and tax laws and FedEx rules and procedures.
• Interact with customs officials and coordinate customs activities with internal staff.
• Contact customers to provide information and inform about any additional tax payments.
• Keep all customs documentation well organized and filed correctly.
• Perform classification and transfer of cargo to other airlines when required.
• Process submission of flight information through customs computer system.
• Track cases for different shipments.
• Inventory management of loads in urgent shipping warehouses.
• Control of supplies and inventories.
• Support load-captain function if required.
