Job summary

FedEx in Querétaro seeks a detail-oriented customs operations associate to handle import/export paperwork, manifests, and tax-related forms. You will work under supervision to ensure timely clearance of air shipments and maintain organized documentation.

The role requires familiarity with customs rules, strong administrative abilities, and the capacity to coordinate with internal teams and customers. Flexibility for variable hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand English (450 TOEIC points).
• Two years of experience in air cargo, procedures, policies, customs laws and regulations and customs clearance processes at the airport.
• Analytical thinking, planning and organization skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Driver's license is preferable.
• Good administrative skills and computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all necessary customs forms for import, export and transit procedures for shipments arriving and departing by air.
• Prepare forms detailing custom duties, duties and taxes / VAT.
• Prepare international manifests to ensure cargo release in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance of ramp activities with country policies and tax laws and FedEx procedures.
• Interact with customs officials and coordinate customs activities with internal staff.
• Contact customers to provide information and inform about any additional tax payments.
• Keep all customs documentation organized and filed correctly.
• Perform the classification and transfer of cargo to other airlines when required.
• Process submission of flight information through customs computer systems.
• Track cases for different shipments.
• Inventory management of loads in urgent shipping warehouses.
• Control of supplies and inventories.
• Support load-captain function if required.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
