Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years as a Customer Quality Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and customer-specific requirements.

Job description

We are seeking a Customer Quality Engineer responsible for leading quality activities focused on ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining strong relationships with both customers and cross‑functional teams. This position requires frequent interaction with customers and internal/external stakeholders to support quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.

The successful candidate will lead and support projects related to obtaining and maintaining customer certifications, while driving the effective execution of quality projects and strengthening the Quality Management System.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Customer Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Systems, standards, and customer‑specific requirements.
• Experience in direct customer communication and relationship management; experience with GM is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Core Tools: APQP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and Control Plans.
• IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification preferred.
• Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing customer complaints, warranty claims, scrap, rework, and sorting costs while promoting defect prevention.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and DMAIC.
• Experience with IATF 16949 requirements is highly preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience working with automotive customers.
• Experience managing customer quality projects, tracking action plans, and driving issue resolution.
• Ability to review and communicate non‑conformance status with clear, accurate, and timely updates.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills when working with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead customer‑facing quality initiatives and achieve measurable results.
