Parker Hannifin in Mexico seeks a Materials/Procurement professional to ensure timely and continuous supply of direct materials for manufacturing, balancing cost, quality, inventory, and production continuity in line with company policies.

You will negotiate with suppliers, monitor MRP, lead times, and deliveries, work with planning, production, engineering, and QA, and uphold safety and ethics while delivering high service levels to internal and external customers.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Ability to release, expedite or cancel purchase orders as needed.
• Familiar with MRP/ERP systems (SAP/JDE).
• Cost analysis, BOMs and inventory control.

Responsabilidades

• Manage procurement of direct materials for manufacturing and planning operations.
• Monitor MRP requirements, purchase orders and delivery schedules to prevent line stoppages.
• Negotiate terms, lead times, and supply agreements with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality and Warehouse teams.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards and certifications.
• Manage inventory levels to avoid excess stock or obsolescence.
• Evaluate suppliers through audits and scorecards; handle supplier claims.

Position Summary

Position responsible to ensure the timely and continuous supply of direct and/or indirect materials required for manufacturing operations, balancing cost, quality, inventory levels, and production continuity, in compliance with Parker Hannifin standard and policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of direct materials, (raw materials, components, parts) and direct materials for the warehouse and planning operations (Steel, machined parts, forgings, and heat treatment services)


• Monitor and follow up on MRP requirements, purchase orders, and delivery schedule to prevent line stoppages.


• Negotiate commercial terms, lead times, and supply agreements with suppliers.


• Work closely with Planning, Production, engineering, Quality and Warehouse teams.


• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and required certifications.


• Manage inventory levels to avoid excess stock or material obsolescence.


• Evaluate and develop suppliers through audits, performance reviews and scorecards.


• Handle supplier claims related to quality issues, late deliveries, or shortages.


• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, ethical standards, and industrial safety regulations.


• Strictly comply with the company’s defined SAFETY procedures.


• Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers. Work efficiently with team members to resolve problems and consolidate improvements.


• Exhibit strong understanding and commitment to Parker values, the code of ethics, High Performance Team culture, and the WIN strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or equivalent) or business Administration, International Trade or related field


• Experience of 2 - 4 years.


• Authority to release, expedite or cancel purchase orders in accordance with demand changes.


• Manufacturing process and supply chain fundamentals.


• MRP/ERP Systems (SAP, JDE or similar)


• Cost Analysis, BOMs and Inventory Control.


• Basic ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.


• Incoterms and domestics/international logistics.


• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.


• APICS-CPIM Desirable
