Job summary

Mama Shelter in Veracruz is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead daily bar operations, train staff, and ensure drinks are prepared to brand standards while delivering exceptional guest service.

You will manage inventory, control costs, support pre-opening activities, and collaborate with F&B management to create memorable experiences for guests in a lively, hospitality-driven setting. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, with English preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as Bar Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Experience in hotels, upscale restaurants, lifestyle venues, or high-volume bars preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and cocktails.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Lead, train, coach, and motivate bartenders and bar support team members.
• Ensure all beverages are prepared and served according to brand standards and recipes.
• Maintain exceptional guest service standards and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and shortages.
• Assist in controlling beverage costs, labor costs, and overall bar profitability.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Support the development and implementation of cocktail menus, beverage programs, and special promotions.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciliation when required.
• Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage management team to achieve operational objectives.
• Participate actively in the hotel's pre-opening phase, including recruitment, training, menu tastings, SOP development, and operational setup.
