Job summary

Mama Shelter Mexico City is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead daily bar operations, train staff, and ensure service aligns with brand standards.

You will manage beverage programs, monitor inventory, and collaborate with F&B management to drive guest satisfaction. English is a plus; a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected. You may participate in pre-opening activities such as recruitment and menu tastings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a Bar Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Experience in hotels, upscale venues or high-volume bars preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and cocktails.
• Proven leadership and ability to develop teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for guest service and hospitality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• English proficiency is highly desirable; other languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day bar operations for smooth service.
• Lead, train, coach, and motivate bartenders and bar staff.
• Ensure beverages prepared and served to brand standards.
• Maintain exceptional guest service and resolve concerns quickly.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, rotate stock to minimize waste.
• Help control beverage and labor costs and overall profitability.
• Ensure hygiene, health and safety compliance and responsible service.
• Assist in developing cocktail menus and beverage programs.
• Perform opening/closing procedures, cash handling, reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage management to meet objectives.
• Support pre-opening phase: recruitment, training, tastings, SOPs, setup.
