Job summary

Klar in Mexico City is seeking a Business Analyst (B2B Collections) to monitor and improve collections performance, optimize processes, and develop data-driven strategies to maximize recovery across our business credit portfolio. Hybrid work model with office visits 2-3 times per week.

You will transform data into actionable insights, automate processes, and collaborate with internal teams and external collection agencies to drive efficiency and recovery performance. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills (advanced), including experience querying and analyzing large datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and structured data analysis.
• Experience in business analytics, financial services, credit risk, collections, or operational performance analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience developing dashboards, performance reports, and automated processes.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up on cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Advanced English level.
• Python and Tableau experience is a plus.
• Experience working with credit portfolios, collection agencies, or delinquency analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collections Analytics: Monitor and analyze key collection metrics, including CEI, recovery rates, delinquency trends, and portfolio performance across DPD buckets.
• Portfolio Analysis & Segmentation: Analyze recovery performance by delinquency bucket, outstanding balance, credit product, and customer segment.
• Data Management & Automation: Maintain, validate, and automate collections databases, portfolio assignments, and recurring reports.
• External Collection Agencies Performance: Monitor agencies' performance, analyze results, track assignments and returns.
• Incentive & Bonus Management: Develop, calculate, and validate agency incentive schemes.
• Collections Strategy Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve recovery through portfolio segmentation and data-driven recommendations.
• Technology & Process Improvements: Define requirements with Tech/Product, test functionalities, and implement improvements to tools.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain dashboards, automated reports, and performance monitoring tools.
• Delinquency & Recovery Forecasting: Analyze portfolio trends to develop recovery projections and anticipate delinquency behavior.
• Renegotiation & Recovery Analysis: Evaluate payment agreements and renegotiation performance to improve recovery.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Operations, Finance, Credit Risk, Tech, and agencies to ensure data consistency and alignment.
