Job summary

Corning, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Automation Engineer in Reynosa, Mexico, to support reliability and performance of automated manufacturing equipment.

You will reduce downtime, strengthen preventive maintenance, and apply data-driven methods to improve availability and efficiency. The role requires hands-on diagnostics with PLCs/HMIs, exposure to Allen-Bradley and Omron platforms, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience with automated manufacturing equipment in an industrial environment.
Hands-on knowledge of PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Omron).
Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams; prevent maintenance and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Analyze downtime, failures, and maintenance history to improve uptime and MTBF/MTTR.
Plan and execute preventive maintenance; support TPM and reliability initiatives.
Troubleshoot automation and controls issues involving PLCs, HMIs, motion systems, drivers, and robots.
