Job summary

Corning in Reynosa, Mexico, seeks a technical project lead for automation initiatives, blending advanced process engineering with deep industrial controls knowledge. You will ensure successful project execution and alignment with global standards, identifying KPIVs and assessing measurement and process capabilities.

Collaborate with design teams to implement error-proofing, develop process maps, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, mechatronics, electrical, automation, or related field.
Experience in industrial automation projects.
Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead process definition and KPIVs/KPOVs documentation.
Design and validate experiments using statistics; interpret results.
Support FAT/SAT activities and ensure acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with design teams to implement error-proofing and Pareto improvements.
Develop process maps and data collection plans for automation projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation for operation and maintenance.
Provide training to operators, technicians, and engineers in process and controls.
Support and enhance integration of control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, vision).
Identify gaps, bottlenecks, risks; propose corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement using data-driven decisions.
Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
