General Motors de México in Toluca is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to support on-site operations and develop high-performing teams. You will drive lean and GMS practices, coordinate training, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards across shifts.

The role requires experience with assembly lines, leadership capabilities, and intermediate English. This on-site position operates on a 4x3 shift pattern and aligns with GM's cost and quality objectives.

Formación

• Between 1 and 3 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience; approximately 2 years preferred.
• Experience working with assembly lines.
• Knowledge of or experience applying GMS principles (desirable)
• Experience leading, coordinating, or managing people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Support effective use of personnel, material, and equipment and participate in training and developing salaried and hourly employees, and in the development of highly effective teams.
• Support Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes across multiple departments and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas while helping to meet or exceed production cost schedule and maintain quality requirements.
• Maintain awareness of quality standards, communicate department quality goals, and utilize resources to solve quality issues.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management.
• Understand and administer the National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.
• Implements and follows systems that prevent recurrence of known issues.
• Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping. Motivate, train and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods.
• Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training).
• Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing/synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, control costs, and achieve productivity improvements.
