Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Quality team on the production line in Mexico. You will drive quality performance, lead problem-solving activities, and partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to ensure high-quality outputs from start to finish.

You will monitor KPIs such as FTT and RTY, supervise containment actions, and support new model launches with a focus on Lean and Six Sigma improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced English.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or high-technology component production, in Quality or Production roles.
• Solid experience with automotive core tools (FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA) and problem-solving methodologies (G8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and visual management systems.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (IATF 16949).

Responsibilities

• Lead quality performance on the production line and drive continuous improvement.
• Apply core tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) to contain and resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements and quality documentation.
• Support new model launches and process changes to meet quality standards.
• Train production and quality technicians on quality standards and inspection methods.
