Job summary

Amazon Mexico is seeking an Area Shift Manager to lead a large, diverse team onsite and ensure the area keeps pace with demand. This hands-on role exposes you to complex operations at a global company and builds your leadership and problem-solving skills.

As a front-line leader, you will guide safety, productivity, and quality, rotate shifts including weekends and overnights, and collaborate with other managers to drive continuous improvements and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
• Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity across all shifts.
• Support and lead a team and handle administrative work while building a strong team culture.
• Analyze performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and customer service.
• Promote best practice and continuous process improvements across the team in health, safety and productivity.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes.
