Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Transportation Area Manager to oversee yard operations across multiple sites in Mexico, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effective performance. You will lead teams, drive process improvements, and synchronize Fulfillment Center operations with transportation execution to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning Fulfillment Center operation with transportation execution.
• Plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated site.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Drive high safety standards for all yard operations, ensuring safe work environment for Amazon and non-Amazon workers.
• Audit and ensure compliance to all standard work, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental regulations.
• Meet and exceed operational goals.
• Own area performance metrics and communicate them to TOM and site leadership.
