Job summary

Atomic Hr is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to oversee optimization across a portfolio of higher education and nonprofit client sites. You will drive technical audits, write developer-ready specs, and ensure fixes are live, while building Claude-based tools to automate audits, reporting, QA, and content production.

You will collaborate with the SEO Lead and support leadership, own AI-ready data structures, monitor Google Search Console and GA4, and mentor team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with focus on technical SEO
• Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and driving fixes
• Hands-on experience with GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes
• Advanced experience with Claude and AI-assisted workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts and defend prioritizations
• Run audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, links, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Write dev-ready specs and follow fixes to verification
• Perform light WordPress tasks: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema with Yoast or Rank Math
• Monitor GSC and GA4 to catch drops and indexing issues
• Own AI-ready readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) and structured data
• Design Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, reporting, and QA
• Build content production systems from briefs to near-publish drafts
• Document systems and train the team; measure time saved
• Be the go-to technical resource; join client calls for deep topics
• Evaluate new search technologies and recommend tools and workflows
