nVent is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our global finance team in Reynosa. You will support AP operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices in a high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities include handling 100–200+ invoices per day, validating approvals per DOA, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and contributing to process improvements within AP, SOX compliance, and reporting.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment preferred.
  • Must be fully bilingual, strong written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with JD Edwards, SAP, M3 and Esker (AP workflow software) is required.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Accounts Payable operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors while contributing to the efficiency and integrity of our financial processes.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Serving as a primary point of contact for nVent employees regarding payable invoices and issue resolution.
  • Processing a high volume of invoices (100-200+ per day), including three-way matching, two-way matching, non-PO invoices, and intercompany invoices.
  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail by obtaining proper approvals in accordance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) guidelines and maintaining compliance with SOX controls.
  • Applying strong analytical skills to work directly with vendors to reconcile accounts and resolve outstanding invoice discrepancies.
  • Calculating and applying use tax as required, in compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.
  • Assisting with GRNI and RNV reporting by actioning and monitoring assigned items and coordinating with General Ledger and AP Analysts to resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicating effectively with vendors, colleagues, internal departments, and management to support timely issue resolution.
  • Managing multiple priorities and embracing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Taking initiative and leveraging prior Accounts Payable experience to support sound decision-making and escalating issues as needed to supervisor.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation within Accounts Payable function.
  • Assisting other team members as needed to ensure overall team success.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment preferred.
  • Must be fully bilingual, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish is required.
  • Experience with JD Edwards, SAP, M3, and Esker (AP workflow software) is required.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft and Windows-based applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to multitask, work independently, and learn quickly, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
