Michael Page International México Reclutamiento Especializado S.A. de C.V busca un Gerente de Contabilidad para liderar la transformación y estabilización de la función contable en un entorno manufacturero.

Coordinará cierres, gobernanza de balance y controles, asegurando informes bajo US GAAP y NIF mexicanos. El rol requiere experiencia en IMMEX, auditorías y cumplimiento fiscal, y capacidad para impulsar mejoras de procesos, estandarización y automatización junto a equipos multifuncionales.

Qualifications

• Licenciatura en Contabilidad, Finanzas o campo relacionado.
• CPA, MBA o certificación equivalente es un plus.
• Experiencia en liderazgo contable en un entorno de manufactura.
• Experiencia en auditorías, SOX y cumplimiento regulatorio.

Responsibilities

• Liderar la estabilización y transformación de la función contable.
• Gestionar General Ledger, gobernanza de balance y cierres mensuales/trimestrales/anuales.
• Asegurar exactitud de informes y cumplimiento con US GAAP e NIF mexicanas.
• Fortalecer controles contables en inventarios, costos de fabricación, activos fijos y transacciones intercompañía.
• Liderar cumplimiento y recuperación de IVA, coordinar asuntos fiscales y auditorías.
• Servir como punto de contacto contable para auditores y reguladores, remediar hallazgos.
• Identificar oportunidades de estandarización, automatización y mejora continua.
• Colaborar con Finanzas, Impuestos, Operaciones y Services para mejorar procesos.
• Liderar, coachar y desarrollar al equipo contable y fomentar responsabilidad.
• Balancear entregables financieros a corto plazo con objetivos de transformación a largo plazo.

Our client is a leading multinational manufacturing organization undergoing an important transformation within its finance function. The company is seeking a highly capable Accounting Manager to strengthen accounting operations, enhance controls, and drive long-term process stability. This role offers the opportunity to resolve complex accounting challenges and help build a best-in-class accounting function.

Descripción

• Lead the stabilization and transformation of the accounting function, addressing legacy issues and strengthening financial governance.
• Own the General Ledger, balance sheet governance, reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and Mexican statutory requirements.
• Strengthen accounting controls across inventory, manufacturing costs, standard costing, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Lead VAT compliance and recovery activities, coordinating tax matters, audits, and interactions with authorities.
• Serve as the key accounting contact for internal and external auditors, SOX teams, and regulatory stakeholders, driving timely remediation of findings.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across accounting operations.
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Operations, Supply Chain, and Shared Services to improve processes and accountability.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, urgency, and continuous improvement.
• Balance short-term financial deliverables with long-term transformation and process stability objectives.

Perfil buscado

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, MBA, Master's degree, or equivalent certification is a plus.

Professional Experience

• Accounting leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to maquiladora/IMMEX operations.
• Proven track record resolving complex accounting issues and strengthening processes and controls.
• Experience with audits, SOX, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in multinational organizations and/or multi-entity environments; Shared Services exposure is a plus.

Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, financial close, reconciliations, and balance sheet governance.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and Mexican NIFs.
• Experience with IVA, tax compliance, and Mexican regulatory requirements.
• Advanced SAP and Excel skills.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
