Job summary

Eaton's Corporate Sector division is seeking an Accounting Analyst based in Baja California to support monthly closing, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and handle journal entries and tax-related activities. The role requires 2–3 years of general accounting experience, knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting (VAT), and exposure to SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• General accounting procedures and monthly closing for Sites.
• Review and validate the cash application for the invoices collected during the month.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations monthly for different balance accounts.
• Prepare monthly income and expenses reconciliation.
• Register and analysis for Hedging monthly.
• Ensure the accuracy for taxes recorded, mainly VAT.
• Generate monthly payment complements for invoices to comply with tax requirements.
• Review Treasury, ICA & ZBA and reconciliation.
• Prepare accruals for benefits such as EPS, Estate Tax and Insurances.
• Support process improvements and standard work.
• Maintain teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve goals and support site initiatives.
• Collaborate with Internal Control Audit and Statutory Audits for sites under scope.
• Other activities assigned by supervisor.

Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Accounting Analyst.
**What you'll do:**
Perform and support the monthly closing process, prepare Balance sheet Reconciliations BSR (AP,accruals, taxes, etc),various journal entries , accruals, Cash aplication, Bank transactions recording and reconciliation,creation of accounts payables for some services, etc.
**Job Responsibilities**
1. General accounting procedures and perform the monthly closing process for Sites.
2. Review and validate the cash application for the invoices collected during the month.
3. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations every month for different balance accounts.
4. Prepare on a monthly basis the income and expenses reconciliation.
5. Register and analysis for Hedges on a monthly basis.
6. Ensure the accuracy for taxes recorded, mainly VAT.
7. Generate on a monthly basis the complement of payment for all invoices collected to comply with tax requirements.
8. Review Treasury, ICA & ZBA. Ensure correct recording and Reconciliation .
9. Prepare the accruals for beneffits such as EPS, Estate Tax and Insurances.
10. Support and/or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work.
11. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve departmental and GFSS goals. Support site, functional or corporate initiatives.
12. Collaborate with the Internal Control Audit and Statutory Audits for the sites and activities under the scope.
13. Other activities assigned by supervisor or special requirements from management or company.

**Qualifications:**
**Education level required**
Bachelor degree necessary in Accounting.
**Years and area of experience required**
2 - 3 years of experience in general accounting
+ Knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting requirements essential; sound understanding of Tax regulation
+ Monthly closing process
+ Conciliations - IVA & CFDI
+ SAP/Oracle Knowledge is a plus
+ English - conversational
