Job summary

Bilfinger Middle East is seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer – Fire Protection to drive growth across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, and Infrastructure sectors in Kuwait. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, building client networks, and delivering compelling technical and commercial proposals.

Responsibilities include lead generation, pipeline management, and negotiations to convert opportunities into awarded projects, with emphasis on strategic planning and market intelligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in business development, sales or technical marketing within Fire Protection/Fire & Gas.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, Power, Infrastructure or Commercial sectors.
• Knowledge of Fire Protection Systems, Detection & Alarm, Gas Detection, and Passive Fire Protection.
• Experience selling Fire Protection & Fire & Gas in Kuwait.
• Familiarity with NFPA, API, IEC, FM, ISO and client standards (KNPC, KOC).
• Proven proposal preparation, client presentations and contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; Kuwaiti driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for Fire Protection and Fire & Gas services.
• Develop and maintain a database of End Clients, EPCs, PMCs, and Industrial customers.
• Generate qualified leads through research, networking, events, and engagement.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
• Conduct client meetings to understand project requirements and opportunities.
• Deliver technical and business presentations showcasing capabilities and value.
• Coordinate with engineering to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate technical and commercial proposals.
• Follow up on proposals and drive opportunities to PO award.
• Maintain pipeline, provide sales forecasts and progress reports.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and upcoming projects.
• Support prequalification submissions, vendor registrations and framework agreements.
• Participate in exhibitions, conferences and events to boost visibility.
