2025 sees MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrate its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship… we’re just getting started. We don’t follow the status quo, we’re here to challenge the competition, and we want you to join us.

The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, and the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives – coming off the back of its second-best season to-date in Formula 1.

We’re a racing team – not a corporate machine. We have three HQs – Kannapolis in the US, Banbury in the UK and Maranello in Italy – each powered by passionate, loyal and hardworking team ambassadors. General Summary

This position reports to the Design Team Leader or their designee; is located in Maranello, Italy. Responsible for design of F1 chassis related components and mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
2. Design of F1 chassis related components and mechanical assemblies.
3. Activity consists in the study and design of components through solid modelling, surface modelling and 2D drawing with the aim of obtaining high-performance, reliable solutions and optimized sizing.
4. The perimeter of the involved components includes suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel and cooling systems, with also the equipment for the car homologation and its management on track-side (for instance legality checks, pit stop equipment, etc).
5. Management of the ‘design mock-up activity’ in design office.
6. Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
7. Other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader or their designee.

Education And Work Experience

GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required. Further education including Mechanical Engineer degree. Minimum 6 years of work experience, 3 of which must be in a professional motorsports environment or F1 Companies.

Specialized Knowledge And Skills

1. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
2. Have an excellent understanding of English.
3. Strong technical background in racing car.
4. Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
5. Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
6. Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
7. A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
8. A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

Equipment And Applications

1. Solid computer knowledge (CATIA should be preferred), preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and ERP Systems.
2. Mechanical aptitude with also composite knowledge.
3. Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.

Work Environment Physical Demands

An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
