JOB SUMMARY :
The Information Technology (IT) Support Technician works under the supervision of the IT Services Delivery Manager. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting all client computer hardware, software, and peripherals, and troubleshooting issues organization-wide.
DUTIES PERFORMED :
- Handle service requests via ticket system, phone, email, or in person; provide remote or onsite troubleshooting to resolve technical problems efficiently, following issue prioritization and SLA guidelines.
- Support Windows-based laptops/desktops with installation, maintenance, management, configuration, and issue resolution.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting for networking, printing, and IP telephony systems.
- Document issue resolution and work performed.
- Manage client user accounts, including password management, creation, modification, and deletion.
- Install and set up client systems for new employees, relocations, or hardware replacements.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing Coordinator to track IT assets and assist with purchase requisitions.
- Support the Systems and Network Administrators with project work or emergency issues as needed.
- Participate in weekly on-call shifts to respond to emergency requests.
- Assist with documenting expenditures, preparing the annual IT budget, and generating reports for the IT Services Delivery Manager.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with hardware/software vendors, management, and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education:
- Minimum two-year Associate Degree in Computer, Information Technology, or related field with three years of experience, preferably in healthcare, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years relevant experience.
