Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Regional Vice President, Central Government for Italy to lead our public sector efforts. You will own revenue, go-to-market strategy, and the talent agenda for the Central Government segment, guiding a team of senior sellers through complex, multi-year programs.

This role requires credibility with senior government officials and a proven track record in enterprise software sales. You will report to the Public Sector leadership and drive strategic government accounts

Qualifications

• Proven first or second line sales leadership experience selling enterprise software/SaaS/cloud platforms.
• Demonstrable track record selling to Italian Central Government and public bodies with executive relationships.
• Deep knowledge of Italian public procurement and EU-funded programmes such as NRRP (PNRR).
• Fluency with Italian digital government regulations and GDPR considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own the Central Government revenue plan for Italy: set growth strategy, territory coverage, and pipeline targets across new logos, expansion and renewals.
• Lead and coach Senior Account Executives to improve deal quality and executive access.
• Recruit, develop and retain top-tier public sector sales talent and address capability gaps.
• Engage as executive sponsor on strategic pursuits with senior government leaders.
• Navigate procurement-led cycles including tenders and framework agreements.
• Collaborate to build the segment Go-To-Market plan with cross-functional teams.
• Run weekly forecast and ensure defensible pipeline for Italy Leadership Team.
• Advise on data residency, cloud qualification and security in public sector contexts.
