Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Vessel Manager to join the Installation Fleet in Milano. You will oversee Company-owned vessels, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing costs in collaboration with the ship management partner.

Responsibilities include safeguarding safety, coordinating crew and certificates, and supporting the Management Plan with cost, Opex and investments. This role requires strong maritime experience and knowledge of ISM/SOLAS/MARPOL.

Qualifications

• Maritime environment and ship management practices exposure required.
• Knowledge of Marine regulations in ship management with ISM, SOLAS CDM, ISPS, MARPOL.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a ship technical superintendent or similar.
• Understanding of Offshore Subsea Construction techniques and HSE practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vessel compliance with international standards on HSE, environment and occupational aspects.
• Coordinate vessel crew and crew certificates as required.
• Monitor fleet expenses and align with annual Management Plan.
• Support purchasing via ship management company and supplier liaison.
• Collaborate on modifications to vessel layout and cable equipment for projects.
• Ensure vessel documents and certificates are up to date.
