Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Vessel Manager for its Installation Fleet in Milano. You will manage Prysmian-owned vessels, ensuring compliance with international rules and maintaining supplies, crew qualifications, and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven track and consistent exposure to maritime environment and ship management practices.
• Knowledge of marine regulations in a ship management structure (ISM, SOLAS CDM, ISPS, MARPOL).
• Understanding of offshore subsea construction techniques and relevant HSE practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fleet expenses align with the Prysmian Management Plan (fixed costs, non-recurring expenses, investments, personnel plans).
• Assist Fleet Manager in creating the Management Plan for vessels under responsibility and multi-year investments.
• Control the purchasing process through the ship management company (RFPs, approvals, final invoices).
• Resource competent offshore staff for vessels under responsibility and supervise crewing via the ship management company.
• Identify and involve offshore resources in pre-project planning for delivery of projects.
• Liaise with suppliers when direct relationship exists, ensuring timely delivery and cost management under supervision of Fleet Manager.
• Collaborate with Installation General Operations Manager and Asset Operations Manager on vessel layout modifications for projects.
• Collaborate with Installation Manager and Equipment Manager on vessel charter and mobilization for projects.
• Maintain vessel documents and certificates for vessel and marine personnel according to standards and make them available to the Installation Department.
• Ensure personal safety and safe working practices per Company HSE procedures.
