Job summary

Vertiv Co in Italy seeks a Technical Support Engineer to manage operational support for the EMEA Service network, assisting Field Engineers remotely and on-site. Qualifications

• Secondary school with technical specialization (mechanical, electrical or electronic) or higher.
• Good written and spoken English with knowledge of the main technical language used in the product application business.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial chillers and air conditioners; balanced mechanical, thermodynamic and control/software knowledge.
• Experience in using measuring/testing tools.
• Proficiency with common software tools (Word, spreadsheets, presentations).

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety regulations and Vertiv policies in office, factory and sites.
• Gather, manage and respond to technical requests from partners, advising according to manuals and tools.
• Organize and manage field visits based on technical/commercial severity.
• Process tickets promptly and report status as needed.
• Provide technical reports of cases and visits.
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Produce root cause analysis with cross-department input when requested.
• Conduct lab analyses and tests to resolve issues.
• Interface with Quality, R&D, Production and other departments to improve service and provide feedback for product improvement.
• Identify field parts needed and support service spares and sales.
• Assist field in applying proper service procedures.
• Contribute to technical literature and training within service and NPDI processes.
