Job summary

Eligo Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a growing international engineering business in Tuscany, Italy. This role combines engineering know-how with customer-facing commercial activities to drive technical proposals.

You will work with customers and the sales team to understand project requirements, prepare quotations and commercial proposals, and support bid activity from enquiry to submission. Travel within Italy and abroad may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent English language proficiency.
• Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in technical sales.

Technical Sales Engineer | Tuscany, Italy | €70,000–€90,000

I’m working with an established international engineering business looking to add a Technical Sales Engineer to its team in Tuscany.

This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys the commercial and customer-facing side of engineering and wants to develop their career in technical sales.

You’ll work closely with customers and the wider sales team to understand project requirements, identify the right technical solution and turn opportunities into successful proposals.

The role:

• Supporting customers and sales teams with technical solutions
• Understanding project requirements and assessing feasibility
• Preparing quotations, cost estimates and commercial proposals
• Supporting pre-sales and bid activity from initial enquiry through to submission
• Working across engineering, sales and other internal teams to develop solutions
• Participating in technical and commercial discussions with customers

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline

• Comfortable operating across both technical and commercial environments
• Willingness to travel in Italy and internationally when required
