Medtronic is seeking a Sales Manager for Surgical Innovations, Acute Care & Monitoring, and Endoscopy across indirect Africa. Lead regional strategy, coach a dispersed field team, and drive AOP delivery with distributors and cross-functional partners.

You will travel frequently, lead commercial initiatives, and work with marketing, finance, supply chain, and regulatory teams to ensure ethical, compliant market execution and strong customer partnerships.

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, engineering, healthcare or a related discipline.
  • Meaningful commercial experience in medical devices, healthcare or a comparable regulated industry, including responsibility for sales delivery across multiple markets.
  • Proven experience leading people and/or complex distributor networks, with the ability to coach teams and influence partners across different cultures and geographies.
  • Strong capability in business planning, forecasting, pipeline management, tender execution, pricing and financial performance management.
  • Fluent business English plus Arabic and/or French as a mandatory language requirement.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently across Indirect Africa, with a strong commitment to ethical conduct, compliance and inclusive leadership.

  • Partner with marketing, market development, finance, supply chain, regulatory, clinical, legal and compliance teams to support new product introductions and reliable market execution.
  • Maintain high standards of ethics, compliance, data quality and operating discipline while providing accurate forecasts, business insights and updates to leadership.

A Day in the Life

Join Medtronic as the Sales Manager for Surgical Innovations (SI), Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) and Endoscopy across Indirect Africa. This is a high-impact commercial leadership opportunity to shape portfolio strategy, strengthen distributor performance and lead execution across a broad, diverse group of African markets. The role offers the chance to create clear priorities, build team capability and expand patient access to technologies that support surgical care, critical care, patient monitoring and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures.

The role will operate within a distributor-led business model across Central Africa, Maghreb, Libya and Other French Africa. The successful candidate will lead and coach a geographically dispersed team, partner closely with distributors and cross-functional stakeholders, and maintain disciplined delivery against the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Frequent travel across the region will be required, subject to business needs and company travel policies. Arabic and/or French language capability is a mandatory requirement alongside strong business English.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, engineering, healthcare or a related discipline

  • Meaningful commercial experience in medical devices, healthcare or a comparable regulated industry, including responsibility for sales delivery across multiple markets

  • Proven experience leading people and/or complex distributor networks, with the ability to coach teams and influence partners across different cultures and geographies

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience across Surgical Innovations, Acute Care & Monitoring, Endoscopy or related portfolios, together with knowledge of distributor-led African markets, would be an advantage. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is also desirable but not essential.
