Job summary

roadsurfer in Rome, Italy is seeking a Team Leader for Location Management to independently run a site, coordinate with central departments, and ensure smooth on-site operations.

You will lead onboarding, plan tasks, manage the local fleet, advise customers on products, and work with international teams to drive improvements. A relevant qualification and 2–3 years’ experience are required, plus a customer-focused, hands-on approach and fluency in English and Italian.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of training or studies in a relevant subject area or comparable qualification.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in car rental, tourism, or similar.
• Experience in leading employees or teams is advantageous.
• High service and customer orientation with a friendly and open demeanor.
• You are a hands-on and effective communicator.
• You are a resilient problem solver and highly organized.
• Fluent English, and fluency in the local language of the applied country (Italian).
• Driver's license Class B.

Responsibilities

• Location Management: lead the on-site location operations and collaborate with central departments.
• Process Optimization: implement standards and contribute improvements to vehicle returns, handovers, and prep.
• Collaboration with roadsurfer Stations: maintain communication with international teams for ongoing improvements.
• Team Leadership: onboard, plan tasks, and ensure quality control for the on-site team.
• Recruitment: build and grow your location team.
• Fleet Management: oversee local vehicle fleet documentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and service partners.
• Customer Consultation: advise customers on products, abo, spots, and rent, and onboard them as happy roadsurfers.

The role - your passion

• Your roadsurfer Station - Location Management: You take on the independent leadership and establishment of the location, closely collaborating with central departments to oversee day-to-day operations on-site
• Process Optimization: You successfully implement existing standards and processes while contributing your own ideas (coordinating vehicle returns, handovers, and vehicle preparation)
• Collaboration with roadsurfer Stations: You maintain constant communication with all international teams to ensure ongoing improvements
• Team Leadership: As a Team Leader, you motivate and lead your on-site team. This includes onboarding, effective task planning, and quality control
• Recruitment: You have control over building your team and seek the right talent for your location
• Fleet Management: You always have an overview of the local vehicle fleet for rental and sales: documentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and coordination with local service partners
• Customer Consultation: You advise customers on our products, myroadsurfer, abo, spots, and rent, and send them out as happy roadsurfers on the roads of Europe

What you need to surf the wave with us

We transparency. The salary range for this position is between 38,000 EUR and 38,500 EUR gross per year. We are currently introducing salary bands in our job descriptions to ensure that all employees are treated fairly. Once we get to know each other better during the application process and can assess your skills and experience more precisely, we will work together to determine which level within the salary band is the best fit for you. In an annual feedback meeting, your salary will be reviewed at least once a year.
