WeRoad S.r.l. is seeking a Finance Accountant in Milan, hybrid work arrangement, permanent full-time. The role handles financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, and compliance across WeRoad’s fast-growing travel business.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CMA/ACCA a plus), strong Excel skills, ERP familiarity (Business Central is a plus), and excellent communication abilities in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in accounting/finance experience.
• Professional certifications (CPA/CMA/ACCA) are a plus.
• Strong Excel and accounting software knowledge; ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Support budgeting and forecasting; analyze variances.
• Ensure compliance with laws and accounting standards; assist audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting operations.
• Provide financial insights to support business initiatives.

About The Role

JOB TITLE: Finance Accountant

LOCATION: Milan (Hybrid)

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent, full time

SALES RANGE: €25,000 – €30,000 gross/year

Seniority: mid to junior

What You Will Do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide a clear picture of WeRoad’s financial health.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections, ensuring smooth cash flow management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, analyzing variances to inform strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, while supporting external audits.
• Support identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
• Partner with teams across the organization to deliver financial insights that support business initiatives.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of 1 or max 2 years in accounting or finance, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Excel proficiency, knowledge of accounting software, and familiarity with ERP systems (Business Central is a strong plus). Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC); IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Data-driven, detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a simple, clear way to non-financial stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset, proactive and accountable, flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing environment, curious and eager to grow in a scale-up.
• High level of English, written and spoken.
