Lever, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer – Pricing based in Italy to design and own the pricing infrastructure behind a modern energy platform. You’ll build the Pricing API, migrate pricing logic into a dedicated service, and ensure correctness, performance, and explainability for real energy contracts.

This remote-first role requires leadership without formal authority, collaboration across teams, and the use of AI-assisted workflows to boost throughput while maintaining reliability and security.

Competenze

• Deep production experience with Python backend engineering, including APIs at scale.
• Proven ownership of production systems and escalation point for backend issues.
• Experience leading decoupling, migration, or architectural transformation of a live system.

Mansioni

• Build, evolve, and operate the Pricing API for speed, reliability, accuracy, and third-party access.
• Lead extraction of pricing logic into a dedicated service with clear boundaries.
• Manage architectural migrations and decoupling while protecting existing functionality.
• Own pricing reliability with monitoring, detection, and alerting of incorrect or slow prices.
• Explain pricing failures with robust diagnosability and tracing.
