ABB E-mobility in Italy seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead automated board-level test strategies for PCB assemblies used across EV charging products. You will drive FCT/ICT test solutions, firmware validation, and end-to-end traceability across design, production, and quality metrics.

Role requires strong embedded-system testing, Python/LabVIEW programming, and collaboration with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to achieve first-pass yield and scalable release evidence

Competenze

• Experience in PCBA manufacturing test engineering, production test engineering, or board-level validation.
• Knowledge of ICT methodologies, flying-probe testing, bed-of-nails fixtures, and test-point strategy.
• Advanced programming and test-automation skills using Python, LabVIEW, or similar.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and deploy automated FCT solutions for PCB assemblies and firmware readiness.
• Define ICT strategies to detect shorts, opens, and component faults before functional validation.
• Develop embedded-system test automation including firmware programming and CAN/Ethernet/USB validation.
• Create validation methods for analog/mixed-signal boards and calibration routines.
• Collaborate with PCB design and firmware teams to improve Design-for-Testability and fixture compatibility.
• Build end-to-end traceability across requirements, schematics, test cases, and production logs.
• Specify and integrate production test infrastructure—fixtures, power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and data capture.
