ABB E-mobility in San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy, is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our Operations Test Engineering team on-site. You will develop, deploy, and improve automated manufacturing test solutions for high-power AC/DC and DC/DC converter systems used in EV charging products.

You will collaborate with power electronics, firmware, manufacturing, quality, compliance, and supplier teams, translating converter specifications into production-ready test strategies and supporting the

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Up to 3 years of experience in power electronics, electrical testing, or production test automation.
• Hands-on with electrical instrumentation and test equipment.
• English fluency; knowledge of EV standards or automation/test frameworks is a plus.

Mansioni

• Support the development and implementation of automated manufacturing test methods for AC/DC and DC/DC converter stages.
• Define test coverage ensuring compliance with product, safety and production requirements.
• Participate in full manufacturing-test lifecycle from prototypes to mass production.
• Translate converter specs into production-ready test strategies and fixtures.
• Definition, automation, deployment and industrialisation of production test equipment and benches.
• Maintain traceability documentation linking requirements, tests and results.
• Investigate test failures and drive root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
