Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a Services Senior Engineer in Gallarate, Italy or home office, Italy, to join the Center of Excellence working on AVEVA-based solutions. The role focuses on developing and testing new features, resolving application issues, and supporting customers with complex industrial software deployments.

The candidate will collaborate with DEV and SUPPORT teams, research enhancements, and assist in site commissioning, system upgrades, and pilot projects, while contributing to documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum programming experience.
• Experience in software, database and/or troubleshooting.
• SQL database querying and programming experience.
• Understanding of SCADA and HMI systems.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with DEV and SUPPORT teams to master the customer solutions.
• Research, identify, develop, and recommend software enhancements.
• Support customers in adopting new solutions and resolving issues.
• Assist Application Engineers (L2) with site-specific difficulties during new site commissioning and upgrades.
• Participate in post-release and pilot phases of power monitoring system development.
• Resolve technical issues escalated internally by engineers.
• Identify and analyse product and solution failures, aiding resolutions.
• Contribute to documentation of new features using Knowledge Base.
• Design, plan, evaluate and test complex monitoring/control systems.
