Job summary

Park IP, a Welo Globalbrand, seeks a Senior Russian Legal Linguist to oversee high-quality Russian deliverables, manage terminology, and coordinate with freelancers and internal teams. You will improve workflows and support quality across IP-related content.

You will handle on-demand translations, lead on assigned accounts, and ensure timely, accurate results while training others and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in translation or linguistics.
• Native Russian proficiency; fluent English.
• 8+ years in translation/localization/editing/content writing.
• 5+ years in linguistic review and copy-editing.
• Strong understanding of localization workflows and terminology management.
• Experience with legal materials terminology (IP, patents, contracts, trademarks).
• CAT tools proficiency (XTM, SDL Trados) and issue-tracking tools (JIRA).
• Ability to train others and coordinate internal/external translators.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication; able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform copy-editing on assigned projects/accounts.
• On-demand translation tasks.
• Lead linguist on assigned accounts.
• Own deliveries translated internally or by partners.
• Maintain glossaries, style guides, and work instructions.
• Manage project-related queries and terminology questions.
• Coordinate with freelancers, agencies, and internal linguists.
• Test and qualify new freelancers/vendors as required.
• Develop and train internal linguists and freelancers.
• Interact with clients on linguistic matters as needed.
• Assist in developing new working processes and improvements.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for productivity, on-time delivery, and quality.
• Achieve goals set by Team Manager.
