Job summary

Vertiv in Italy seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to lead design, development, and implementation of control, automation, and power monitoring systems across the full power train. This senior, customer-facing role bridges deep electrical power expertise with pre-sales engagement to position Vertiv as the basis of design for critical data center power architectures.

You will mentor software teams, define scalable architectures, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive specifications,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in power systems engineering or solutions architecture with data center exposure.
• Deep domain expertise across MV switchgear, transformers, UPS, STS, PDUs, battery storage.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, SCADA, EMS, PLC programming, and industrial protocols (GOOSE, MMS, Modbus).
• Proven experience influencing basis-of-design and pre-sales engagement.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure architecture for control and power/thermal monitoring.
• Collaborate with software/hardware teams to meet objectives.
• Provide design reviews and basis-of-design documentation.
• Educate Vertiv selling entities on system architectures.
• Represent Vertiv at industry events.
